We believe that counselling and psychotherapy should be available to everyone who has a need. If finances are tight and you are working with one of us, you may be entitled to the disability allowance through Work and Income - you don't need to already be receiving a benefit to qualify for this . Currently clients are only eligible to see Selina Clare or Michael Apathy using the Work and Income disability allowance for counselling.
About Work and Income's Disability Allowance The Disability Allowance is a weekly payment for people of all ages who have a disability or ongoing health condition and need help with the additional costs directly associated with that condition. It’s available to people who qualify for a Community Services Card, including those on a benefit or people who are working. There is an income test. An application can also be made on behalf of a child if they’re aged 18 years or under and financially dependent on the person who’s making the application.
